Irregular Choice

Tuesday, April 30th, 2013

Can Microsoft be the next cool kid?

Wednesday, June 20th, 2012

Will Microsoft have the noodle to produce this fine looking tablet? With it’s clever keyboard / cover and built in stand plus 16:9 aspect ratio touchscreen.  The concept of one OS for all devices makes sense for a consistent, seamless user-experience. The ‘Metro’ Windows 8 interface looks fabulous. The flat white icons on colourful backgrounds in a grid system do away with all the noise and clutter of previous and existing operating systems.  If Microsoft produce this beautiful device at a hyper-competitive price with hyper-performace, I predict will be a hyper-success.  (via)

The Family Yeti

Sunday, May 20th, 2012

Travis Louise’s artwork captures the moment beautifully. (via)

BJL Gentleman’s Pocket Knife

Thursday, May 17th, 2012

I finally have this beautiful pocket knife in my hand. It is a custom left-handed gentleman’s folding pocket knife with exposed flip-stem for one-handed opening. The body is African Blackwood enclosing a hardened steel blade. The flip action is light and smooth and within a few tries am able to quickly open and close the knife with ease.  The grip fits well in the hand and the moving parts have an elegance and refinement of fit forged with much care and attention.
